The original vehicle was manufactured in 1973 – the drive train components are fresh from the VW production line.
The energy is stored in a 54 kWh lithium battery and powers the 60kw electric motor. The interior is equipped with electric heating and air conditioning and allows a comfortable travel at all temperatures – with cold refreshments out of the fridge. Three displays inform about the status of the vehicle.
The retrofit is based on the drive train kits of eclassics. The car is the first of its kind with original VW drive train that has been approved and homologated in Switzerland.
