For Baltic Yachts, ESORO developed a novel steering system for large sailing boats. The steering wheel transmits the chosen direction without any mechanical connection to the electric actuated rudder. Due to a force feedback system, the skipper feels the force of the water in his hands and therefor has a good control over the ship. The system offers many degrees of freedom for ship design and the system can be configured for different sailing situations.
