The concept car Oasis with electric drive train and autopilot represents the megatrend of ongoing electrification and implementation of the digital world. It will be presented at the CES in Las Vegas, the new place for leading automotive manufacturers and suppliers. Oasis is an alternative concept to the martial appearance on urban asphalt. The exquisite two-seat runabout looks futuristic with its large glazed areas and front wheel spats. Kind of like a trendy buddy of Star Wars icon R2D2. Both are capable of turning on their own axis with almost zero radius. A real next generation approach – with host of technical and visual treats inside.
Oasis is the 18th project, which ESORO realized for Rinspeed. ESORO has been responsible for the manufacturing of the chassis, all composite interior and exterior body panels and frames, which includes the doors and the innovative code-protected “drawer” in the rear, which can be cooled or heated as needed. ESORO has also been responsible for the development and realization of the energy management system, the vehicle batteries including battery management system and harness of the vehicle. Additionally, ESORO implemented and adopted several different technologies and innovations of the project partners for the interior and exterior. Finally yet importantly, ESORO was responsible for the final assembly of the interior and exterior of the Oasis.
