The microSNAP takes the idea of the SNAP concept car and optimizes its features for the last mile. This smaller version convinces with the same flexibility and usability. Therefore, the full autonomic drive chassis can be used continuously while the drive bodies are prepared for their individual function – like a delivery pod or a well-connected passenger pod.
The microSNAP was built up from an adopted Renault Twizy chassis. For this 25th project for Rinspeed, ESORO was rensponible for the whole manufacturing of the microSNAP. The drive train, vehicle electric with Li-Ion battery and steering system were changed to control the microSNAP over wireless remote control. Additionally, ESORO implemented and adopted several different technologies and innovations of the project partners. As always, ESORO was responsible for the final assembly of the interior and exterior of the SNAP.
