The future belongs to modular mobility systems.
Modular vehicles solve a large part of problems and questions of modern mobility. They counter rising inefficiency in traffic, congestion problems and pollution. Due to the flexible and independent use of drive-chassis and body, modular vehicles reduce the need for the expensive drive trains. Further, they point to all different usability requirements for people and goods.
ESORO built the MetroSnap completely from sketch and this concept car was already the 26th project for Rinspeed. Among the manufacture of all the composite elements for the different chassis, ESORO developed an electric drive train that, together with the steer-by-wire system, was controlled from a wireless remote control. Also, ESORO found a solution to remote control all the other car features too.
As is the case each year, ESORO implemented and adopted several different technologies and innovations of the project partners. The final assembly of the interior and exterior of the MetroSnap was in ESORO’s hands too.
