The transparency „dematerializes“ the new concept car eXasis made of Makrolon® – a high-tech plastic by Bayer Material Science. This opens the view into the car, the ideas, thoughts and imagination behind and the technical solutions for this fully functional and fascinating concept car. The eXasis is powered by a compact and powerful bioethanol engine from Weber/Swissauto, which provides some 150 of environmentally friendly horsepower.
For the eighth time, the Swiss engineering company ESORO was hired to serve as general contractor for the entire vehicle project. ESORO was responsible for project management, engineering, design, implementation of new technologies and manufacturing of the Rinspeed eXasis. ESORO realized the eXasis with its highly competent suppliers Schwaller (metalwork) and Protoscar (design).
