As the concept vehicle with adaptive und intuitive autopilot und drone on board represents the megatrend of ongoing electrification and implementation of the digital world. For the first time, ETOS is not going to be presented as a world premiere at Switzerland’s Geneva Motor Show, but at the CES in Las Vegas – the place to be for leading automotive manufacturers and suppliers.
ETOS, with its intuitive and adaptive autopilot is addressing the subject of much debate: “How much man shall, must or may be in a machine?”
ETOS is the 17th project that ESORO realized for Rinspeed. ESORO has been responsible for the manufacturing of the composite exterior body panels, which includes an innovative drone-landing pad in the rear of the car. ESORO has also been responsible for the development of the steering wheel, which, in autonomous mode folds up elegantly and retracts completely into the dashboard. Thus, the curved widescreens moves closer to the driver to provide a better view. Additionally, ESORO implemented and adopted several different technologies and innovations of the project partners. In addition, ESORO was responsible for the final assembly of the interior and exterior of the ETOS, which also includes the very first application of an ultralight and ultrathin Gorilla-glass roof.
